Abstract

This paper is devoted to applied linguistics literature seeking maximization of the effectiveness of foreign language teaching and learning strategies. The researcher highlights ‘information processing in human brain’ to indicate the role of ‘semantic encoding’ in foreign language acquisition. He refers to two experiments conducted by “Demb et al” and “Kirchhoff et al”. The paper demonstrates Brodmann’s cortical areas involved in semantic encoding during intentional encoding. The researcher provides a model of ‘semantic encoding strategy training’ application in MSA learning setting.
