Abstract

In the context of the internet and the digital age, the “traditional-modern” transformation of time-honored  enterprises is both an urgent practical issue and an academically significant topic. This requires problem-oriented research for detailed analysis at the foundational level within the field of anthropology. It also  necessitates expanding into discipline-oriented research to promote and deepen the development of  enterprise anthropology as a sub-discipline. The article posits that a series of conceptual groups, including  “four-level analysis”, “four-structure analysis”, “dual social analysis”, “bottom-up and up-bottom  bidirectional analysis”, and neo-classical “structural-functionalism theory.” These concepts are integral  to both enterprise anthropology and Chinese anthropology, as well as global anthropology. Building on  this foundation, this study elevates its perspective to the third level of anthropology, exploring empirical  research on the “traditional-modern” transformation of time-honored enterprises. It delves into topics such  as the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese traditional culture and its  contributions to Chinese-style modernization, aiming to construct new concepts, theories, and  methodologies for enterprise anthropology and the field of anthropology as a whole.
